About the Founder

Walter C. Vaughn

After serving 18 years in the United States Marine Corps, I began looking closer at my own retirement and transition from military service. What I realized is that the problem is not a lack of resources. There are many programs, organizations, and benefits available to service members and veterans. The real challenge is knowing where to find them, which ones to trust, and what steps to take first.

Operation End-Ex was created to help close that gap. The mission is to connect service members, veterans, and their families with trusted resources that can support them through the transition from military to civilian life. This includes career planning, VA disability information, education benefits, housing, financial preparation, mental health support, and community connections.

My goal is to build more than just a website. I want to create a transition After Action Report for retirement and EAS, so that junior service members can learn from the experiences, mistakes, and lessons of those who went before them. Every service member will one day take the uniform off. Operation End-Ex exists to help make sure they do not have to figure out the next mission alone.
